Dedicated to the memory of Ann

Ann was born in Weston-super-Mare on 27 April 1961, the second daughter of Glynn and Laura and the beloved younger sister of Linda.  She met Andrew, on Weston pier in the summer of 1980, whilst on holiday from her teacher training course in Reading.  Ann and Andrew moved to London in 1983 where they got married in 1985.  Ann worked as a teacher in Dagenham before moving to Bath, shortly before Ann and Andrew’s eldest daughter, Hester, was born.  Two years later, Florence was born, followed by Joss in 1993.  In 2018, Ann became a Nana for the first time when Monty was born and at the beginning of 2021 she became Nana to Otto as well.

Ann and Andrew created a beautiful life together in Bath full of much joy, laughter and very happy memories.  She died peacefully at home on 15 September 2022 surrounded by her husband and her three beautiful children.  Words cannot express how much Ann was loved and how much she will be missed by her family and friends.

Towards the end of her life, Ann was supported by the wonderful team at Dorothy House Hospice.  Any donations towards their work in Ann’s memory will be gratefully received.

I wanted to reach out to you, to let you know that we are thinking of you at this time. You have our support, ongoing and unconditional. I hope that you can find some comfort in knowing that the gifts in this Tulip fund in Ann’s name have been used to give care and support to other patients and families in our community. If at any time you would like to contact us for anything please do so, we are here for you always. Clare Way Individual Giving supportercareteam@dorothyhouse-hospice.org.uk

Although we always miss our loved ones, however long they have been gone, the loss can be more keenly felt during the holidays. I am lighting this candle for you this Christmas, to let you know that I am thinking of you. We are always here for you at Dorothy House.
